IgE

IgE

Anti-IgE Purified Antibody

IgE is found circulating in the plasma at low levels compared to the other immunoglobulins.  It is primarily involved in immunity to helminth and protozoic parasites.  It is also involved with allergic responses ranging from urticaria to anaphylaxis when exposed to specific allergens.  The levels of circulating IgE can increase dramatically in atopic individuals.
